Iva Pospíšilová

Ivana was born and raised in Prague, Czech Republic. After graduating from cosmetology school and working for several years in Prague as a hairdresser and salon owner, Ivana moved from the City of a Hundred Spires to the east coast of the United States of America in 1991.

In the United States, Ivana received extensive training in hair cutting and coloring at the most advanced hair academies: the British academy Toni & Guy in Los Angeles and Dallas and the French academy Jacques Dessange in New York City.

For years, Ivana brought the European edge to her Floridian city as a hairdresser in several reputable Sarasota, Florida-based hair salons. While living and working in the USA, to broaden her knowledge of hair color, Ivana continued her color education at L’Oréal Professional. At L’Oréal, Ivana earned the title Master Colorist.

In February 2011, Ivana opened her own studio in Florida called Couture Hair Salon, which she ran for four years. For her, opening a salon of her own in the United States marked the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.

In 2015, Ivana decided that the time had come to say au revoir to the United States of America and to return to the Czech Republic. Having recently returned to Prague after living in the United States for 25 years, Ivana now aims to bring her wealth of international experience and extensive understanding of hairdressing and business ownership to her home city.

Ivana perceives hairdressing as an art form, and she brings her knowledge, creativity, and love for design to every individual client. In particular, Ivana loves creating new looks for clients, which allows her to implement and expand her imagination and creativity as she works.

Ivana truly loves hair design and interacting with people. Most importantly, she is passionate about helping people to look and feel their best. At her newly-opened hair salon, Vlasové Studio Ivanka, she intends to do just that!

Everyone who cares about their image knows how important it is to select an appropriate hairstyle for their appearance. Similarly, those of us who care about our health know how essential massage can be for our wellbeing, radiant looks, and balance of energy within the body. In today‘s busy world, more and more people need to retreat inward, unwind, and relax.

The owner of Massage Studio Nirvana—Slávek Pospíšil— is practically a magician with regard to easing his clients’ tension on the physical, psychological and mental levels. Slávek received his massage education in Florida in the United States of America, where he lived and worked for 20 years. Slávek has worked in natural medicine for many years, and he firmly believes that massage is an integral part of holistic care.

When conditions such as back pain, fatigue, swollen legs or a migraine arrive, pain medication should not be the only answer, despite this being the automatic response for most people. Our pace of life is constantly accelerating, and therefore we should permit ourselves regular and high-quality bodily rest. Eating healthfully, engaging in frequent exercise, and last (but not least) receiving a massage on a regular basis—is a must. Take time for yourself. This conscious break will boost your confidence, and you will find new inner strength and tranquility.

At our Massage Studio Nirvana, you can select a unique type of massage from our menu in a pleasant and quiet environment; unbounded by external factors. At Nirvana, you will meet an exceptional therapist with a very personal and sensitive approach to people, who have found his own method which contributes to the recovery of your whole body as a result.

At your first visit, you will participate in a short interview about your health and will have the chance to talk about your massage expectations. Subsequently, an individually-selected massage will be performed. Your message will be targeted at your specific needs so that you feel completely refreshed and enjoy the utmost relaxation and release during and after your massage. Your masseur will always look forward to your next visit, as well as your mutual cooperation toward your health and overall wellbeing. This time is yours alone, so enjoy it!
